Your “WHY” is what makes people stop and listen.

For small businesses, content creators, and new entrepreneurs, your why isn’t just a feel-good statement—it’s your anchor. It clarifies why you started when resources were limited, the risk felt real, and quitting would’ve been easier. That purpose becomes a decision-making compass, keeping you aligned when trends shift, algorithms change, or growth feels slow.

Sharing your why also builds trust. People don’t just buy products or follow accounts—they support beliefs. When you communicate the reason behind what you do, you invite your audience into your story. That transparency humanizes your brand, creates emotional connection, and turns casual customers into loyal supporters who feel invested in your journey.

Your why is also your differentiator. Skills can be copied. Products can be replicated. But your perspective, your motivation, and the problem you care deeply about? That’s uniquely yours. Promoting your purpose gives your work meaning beyond metrics and money—and gives others a reason to choose you over someone else.

At its core, finding and sharing your why isn’t about marketing. It’s about alignment. When your actions match your purpose, your work becomes more sustainable, more authentic, and far more impactful—for you and for the people you serve.

Nicole Moore's Purpose

Healing While Building: How Business Saved Me

I didn’t start my business because I had a perfect plan.

I started it because I was trying to survive.

At 43, my life looked nothing like I imagined it would. I was navigating a divorce, carrying the weight of my sons’ mental health struggles, and grieving the loss of my brother to suicide. On top of that, I was facing my own anxiety, exhaustion, and emotional burnout—trying to be strong for everyone while quietly unraveling myself.

There were days when just getting through felt like an accomplishment. Healing felt overwhelming. Hope felt distant.

What I needed most wasn’t a quick fix or a motivational quote—I needed purpose. I needed connection. I needed something that reminded me I still mattered and that my pain could mean something.

That’s where CheerBoss began.

At first, it was simply an idea: a space for athletes to train, move, and grow. But very quickly, it became something deeper. CheerBoss turned into a safe and supportive environment where kids could build confidence beyond performance, where coaches could lead with intention, and where teams could feel set up for success—not just athletically, but emotionally.

Mental health wasn’t an afterthought. Emotional safety wasn’t optional. It was the foundation.

As we opened our doors and hosted community events, I began to truly see the families we served. Parents who were stretched thin. Mothers carrying silent anxiety. Caregivers trying to do everything right while feeling like they were failing anyway. I recognized myself in them.

Out of that awareness, Little Bitty Bosses was born. It wasn’t just a flexible care center, it was a response to real life. A place rooted in compassion, trust, and meeting families where they are. No guilt. No judgment. Just support.

As the businesses grew, I started networking and collaborating more, and I noticed a pattern. I kept meeting small business owners who were just like me—people doing brave things while carrying grief, self-doubt, fear, and invisible mental loads. Entrepreneurs who were leaning into the uncomfortable not because it was trendy, but because they had no other choice.

I realized something powerful: mental health and entrepreneurship are deeply intertwined. So I created Level Up Loud Branding, not just to help people market themselves, but to help them believe in themselves again. To support local small business owners in building confidence in their brand and in who they are, especially after life has knocked them down.

None of this came from having it all figured out.

It came from healing while building.

From choosing to keep going even when it was hard.

From turning pain into purpose and grief into community.

My story isn’t about bouncing back. It’s about building forward—with honesty, heart, and hope.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

You don’t have to be healed to help others.

You just have to be willing to show up.
